Hello and welcome to Dayton Outdoor! I'm Miles Eichenberger, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you. I began my outdoor work in 2020, during a time when most teens are just starting out in their first jobs. However, I faced the unique challenge of COVID-19. That winter, I took on some cash work for my girlfriend’s dad, who runs a concrete, masonry, and snow removal company. The moment I got behind the wheel of a plow truck, I knew it wouldn't be my last ride. I quickly developed a passion for snow removal, eagerly reaching out to my boss whenever snow was on the way. I even sought out clients in my neighborhood so that I could start to get a feel for the back end of this industry.

In the summer of 2021, On my 16th birthday, I signed the papers to become an actual employee of my girlfriend’s dad’s company. There I learned how to work hard, and do things right. I worked overtime all summer and I couldn’t get enough of it, so I tore a bicycle trailer made for carrying children down to the frame, Made a flat deck and strapped a mower to it. I would mow a couple yards after work or on the weekends.

The following winter, I gathered a few more clients. With my newly acquired driver’s license, I had about eight accounts that I continued to service while heading to my “real” job. I eagerly volunteered for any additional tasks I could take on, such as hauling and salting.

In the spring of 2021, my brother and I officially launched my first company, Dayton Lawn & Snow LLC. I negotiated with my boss to work only three to four days a week, allowing me time to focus on mowing. By this point, I was regularly mowing around 12 lawns.

However, that winter, I took on more than I could handle, managing roughly 20 snow removal clients while still having my boss to report to. A few hours into the first snow event, I sent him a text saying, “Sorry, I think I’ve got a company to run now.” And I truly did. That winter, I acquired my first small plow truck and ended the season with about 30 customers. I continued to build my reputation and expand my network. Fast forward to the New Year 2025, I rebranded to DAYTON OUTDOOR INC. This is where my true commitment begins. I’m now operating a fully staffed, insured, and licensed business equipped with a comprehensive range of tools to complete the job you need done!
